The protection of your personal data during the collection, processing, and usage of your personal data due to your visit to our homepage and the webpages of our projects is of great importance to us.
Your data will be protected within the framework of the legal provisions. In the following, you will find information about which data are being collected during the visit to our webpages and how they will be used.
1. Collection and processing of data
We collect anonymised user data by using the web statistics tool PIWIK. PIWIK uses a cookie, with the help of which information about your usage of this website including your IP address is generated. You may configure your browser in a way in which it prevents the storage of the cookie on your computer. By doing so, you do not impede the usage of this website.
We have configured PIWIK in a way that your IP address is stored anonymously. The data shall exclusively be used for the statistical evaluation of the user data and will be deleted after the expiration of a maximum of 12 months.
Personal data shall only be collected in the event that you submit these data voluntarily, e.g. in the scope of an inquiry or registration, an enrolment for a seminar, or an order in our online bookshop.

As far as you have provided us with personal data, we will only use them for replying to your inquiries, for performing contracts we have concluded with you, and for the technical administration.

In projects supported by third-party funds, we are obliged to store specific data, also after the period during which the project is being performed, for several years in accordance with reasons arising from the provisions regulating such financial support. After the expiration of this time limit, these data will be destroyed.

Upon written request, we will be glad to inform you about the data stored with regard to your person.
4. Safety note
By making use of all technical and organisational means, we make an effort to store your personal data in a way in which they are not accessible to third parties. We are not able to warrant complete data security during the communication via e-mail. Thus, we recommend you to send confidential information through the post.
